Joanne oversees and monitors all of the teaching methods and techniques used at GDA, ensuring that all students receive the highest standard of coaching. Whether students are interested in pursuing a professional stage career, boosting their confidence, or they just want to pursue performing arts for fun, classes can be adapted to suit. GDA’s main objective is to bring out the absolute best in every student and to ensure pupils are equipped to achieve their goals and aspirations. GDA is proud to offer training across the entire spectrum of performing arts. Joanne believes that the rapport GDA builds with students is key to their self-belief and ultimate success. We provide an environment for students to freely express themselves, gain confidence and have great fun!

GDA supports, encourages, nurtures and inspires EVERY student to achieve their dreams, enhancing their love and enthusiasm for the performing arts. Every student is given the opportunity to perform and this is not dependant on their ability or achievements. Our teachers are highly qualified and we pride ourselves in offering students the opportunity  to study at performance college, leading to performances in the West End. We offer classes in singing, acting, and music with regular showcases, exam sessions, and holiday workshops. We also give GDA students the chance to take LAMDA and LCM exams.

For paying students, GDA’s prices are hugely competitive. As a registered Community Interest Company (CIC), we are all about giving back to the community, and we are proud to offer a number of free of charge spaces to pupils on benefit related school meals (limited number of spaces). We provide a percentage of free drama/singing classes to children from disadvantaged backgrounds who are unable to afford lessons. We believe that exploring dramatic arts should be accessible to all children and young adults, outside of, and in addition to, the school environment.  Through creative classes in dramatic arts, we  also aim to improve children's mental health and well-being. Drama has proven to be hugely beneficial to children who struggle academically, and to those who have behavioural/emotional issues.  For the louder, extrovert and boisterous pupil we aim to provide a creative outlet for their exuberance.  For the quieter, introverted pupil who may lack confidence and an ability to express themselves, we aim to provide a place where through character development and drama they can build confidence.

We only hold classes during school term time ensuring that costs are more affordable, and students don't miss classes whilst away on holiday. As a Community Interest Company, we do not charge any enrolment fees and do not ask for any lengthy notice period to leave. Our uniform is optional, not essential. Any queries or questions please don't hesitate to call or email us.
