GDA offers group acting classes, duologue classes, private 1-1 lessons, and holiday drama workshops. We focus on areas such as script work, character analysis, improvisation, devising theatre from stimulus, mime, reading, poetry, relationship building, and teamwork.

Our training can be tailored to suit each student’s individual needs, and we encourage all students to fully express themselves whilst losing any inhibitions that may hold them back. Our classes are held in a safe, comfortable, space and can be adapted to suit students of all ages, levels, and abilities.

Whether you’re a curious beginner just starting out on this performance path, or a seasoned actor looking to polish your existing skills and techniques, we have the class for you! We also offer Zoom classes where appropriate.

We provide lessons in both classical and contemporary acting, and LAMDA exams are optional. Whilst Acting exams are not mandatory at GDA, we encourage students to consider them, as exams provide students with a clear goal, a sense of direction, and real sense of accomplishment.

LAMDA examinations are regulated by OFQUAL, and from Grade 6 upwards they are assigned UCAS points which serve towards university entry. Recognised globally, and credited by universities as a great extra-curricular qualification, LAMDA continues to be associated with focused students, who display a solid work ethic, and top-quality communication skills. GDA follows the Shakespeare Syllabus and the Acting Syllabus.

Holiday Workshops

Our fun holiday workshops allow students to further ignite their imaginations and live performance skills. These drama workshops provide interesting ways of looking at different aspects of performance drama, and they are inspiring and interactive sessions designed to keep students fully engaged. Students also have the opportunity to take part in group plays, performing at showcases and festivals in front of live audiences.
